Biography

Bradford Robinson is a singer/songwriter from Denver, Colorado who has has contributed to more than 50 albums as either an instrumentalist, engineer or producer. He has released 2 solo CDs under his own label, Hellebore Records. Bradford's second solo effort, Enthusiastically Lost, hosts a healthy sixteen tunes, encompassing an eclectic range of genres; from rock to jazz to folk, to new age instrumentals.  The title itself reflects his view of life.  "Every time I go through a major change in life, I find myself excited for a fresh beginning, yet apprehensive of the path."  This feeling is portrayed both lyrically and musically throughout the sixteen diverse tunes.

In 1997 Robinson's first solo effort, It's Ironic But So Is This, was well received over the airways in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, parts of Europe, Puerto Rico and Barbados.

Robinson sings and mainly plays the guitar, mandolin, and piano as well as dabbling in other instruments such as the bass, harmonica, lap steel, bowed psaltry, and the 10 string Chapman Stick. "I love collecting most any musical instrument with strings...and wish I could play them all proficiently".

For seven years in the mid eighties and early nineties, Robinson managed, booked, promoted and performed with Those Melvins, an alternative rock band.  TM released seven recordings, one of which charted nation-wide on CMJ for three weeks at #145, purely from self promotion.

For ten months Robinson traveled solo around the world, performing in venues or on the streets in Mexico, Hawaii, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, and France.

He also managed, booked, produced and performed with the acoustic trio Robinson Reis and Mechura for two years.  The 3 members of the acoustic act were based in CT, Atlanta, and San Francisco.  Robinson Reis and Mechura released a self-produced album which reached #1 on the Advocate chart in CT, August, 1991.  Robinson has produced, engineered, and performed on over 50 CD's including the "soundsheet" for Spin Magazine, 1990.  He engineered and produced Boyd Tinsley's (Dave Matthews Band fiddle player) first solo project, which unfortunately was shelved due to the huge success of the Dave Matthews Band.

Bradford is currently living in Sydney Australia, performing solo and with other artists, while working as a carpenter during the day and running a Solar company called Green Ecovations
